Luke is one of our full-time Regional Participation Officers and is based in the Cardiff office. He currently works with tennis venues, local authorities, coaches and schools across many areas of South and Mid Wales to help grow participation in the sport.

- How long have you worked at Tennis Wales? 1 year
- What is your background? I have worked in the sporting sector for the last ten years having previously worked as a project officer at Sport Wales between 2008-2017. This role covered many areas including data analysis, event management as well as leading / assisting on many projects. I am also a UEFA B Licence (Level 3) football coach and back in 2012 I formed the Vale of Glamorgan’s first Ladies & Girls football club which has gone on to become the largest female setup in Wales with over 200 players (Barry Town Utd Ladies FC).
- What do you like most about working at Tennis Wales? It’s a great team to work with and I really enjoy the variety the role provides. I get to work with many different venues and partners across Wales which all have different objectives and challenges, which makes the role interesting as no two days are the same. It’s great to be able to offer advice and experience I have gained in developing my own sports club over the last seven years.
- What are your hobbies? In my spare time aside from football coaching and playing a bit of tennis, I also enjoy playing snooker which was my main sport growing up where I used to compete in national ranking events. I also have two children so they tend to keep me busy at weekends and I also like to go for walks and travelling when time allows.
- What is your favourite music? This is a tough one! I enjoy many types of music in truth but I particularly like bands. Some of my favourites include Green Day, Stereophonics, Kings of Leon, The Killers, Blink 182 and Embrace.
- What is your favourite food? Have you seen me? I like most food and have a particular liking to anything sweet. I enjoy a curry but also love Italian food as well as a Sunday roast!
