Cider is a long-standing and integral part of Herefordshire life. In 1880, Henry Weston brought his family to The Bounds in Much Marcle, where he discovered the great craft of cider making. Indeed over 135 years later, Westons carry on this tradition and continue to produce the very best quality English cider.
The Westons farm stands on Marcle Ridge, looking down on the remains of Mortimer’s castle built by the Earl of Mortimer in the 11th Century. Many battles have taken place here over the years as the Mortimer’s fell in and out of favour with the crown.
However, these days rows of soldiers have been replaced with rows of apple trees, and finding a decent drop of cider is no longer a battle!
A cider rich in tradition and rich in flavour, made with 100% fresh English Apple Juice. Mortimer’s Orchard is available in both Apple and English Berry variants, both crafted by Guy Lawrence, 5th generation cider maker at Westons Cider in Herefordshire. The cider’s are medium-dry in flavour with a long refreshing finish- perfect for a warm day court-side!
Mortimer’s Orchard are proud to be the Official Cider of British tennis and will be serving deliciously refreshing cider at The Fever-Tree Championships, Nature Valley International, Nature Valley Classic and Nature Valley Open.
