Katie Swan has won the Aegon Junior Player of the Month award for April after breaking into the world’s top 10 junior rankings for the first time.
Swan, 16, continued her excellent form in 2015 at the Easter Bowl Championship in Indian Wells, reaching both the singles and doubles finals.
The youngster from Bristol, who now lives in Kansas, was beaten by American Claire Liu 2-6, 6-3, 2-6 in the singles but then paired up with Sofia Kenin in the doubles to defeat Caroline Dolehide and Ena Shibahara 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.
Swan finished the week by also being presented with the sportsmanship award and being ranked No.9 in the world junior rankings.
