Andy Murray sensationally claimed his 10th Masters 1000 title after powering past the 'King of Clay' Rafael Nadal in the Madrid Open final.
The British No.1 claimed his first clay court victory over the nine-time French Open champion with a resounding 6-3, 6-2 win in the Spanish capital.
In Milos Raonic, Kei Nishikori and Nadal, Murray overcame three top 10 players in three days to land his second title on the surface in a week after his triumph at the Munich Open.
After winning his first Masters Series title on clay and ninth match in a row, Murray said: “It's one of the hardest things in tennis to try and win against Rafa on clay, so I'm glad I've managed to do it.
"I made very few errors and changed the height of the ball extremely well, which was part of the reason why he was mistiming a few shots.
“I dealt with all of the nervy moments I had in the match pretty well."

Aljaz Bedene was in fine form in Rome to win his first Challenger Tour title since gaining British citizenship in March.
