US Open quarter-final spots for Dom Inglot and Jamie Murray

Dom Inglot and Jamie Murray continue to lead the British charge in the Men’s Doubles at the US Open after both powering into the quarter-finals.

Dom InglotInglot and Swedish partner Robert Lindstedt continued their recent unbeaten form to knock out Tommy Haas and Radek Stepanek 6-4, 6-3.

In doing so, Inglot has equalled his best ever performance at a Grand Slam having reached the last eight in Australia twice and in New York in 2013.

Wimbledon finalists Murray and John Peers join them in the second week after overcoming Phillip Oswald and Adil Shamasdin 6-4, 6-4.

The No.8 seeds are yet to drop a set at Flushing Meadows and are looking to make the semi-finals for the first time.

Colin Fleming and Treat Huey almost made it three Brits in the final stages but their encouraging tournament came to an end 4-6, 6-3, 3-6 to Joao Sousa and Leonardo Mayer.
