Fed Cup: Great Britain and Kazakhstan level after epic three-set battles

After two epic three-set battles at London's Copper Box Arena, Great Britain and Kazakhstan are level going into Sunday. 

World No.46 Johanna Konta kickstarted Great Britain's World Group II Play-Off with a three-set victory over Zarina Diyas. The British No.1 brilliantly battled back from a set down to defeat the world No.107 4-6, 6-3, 6-2. 

World No.86 Katie Boulter faced world No.36 Yulia Putinseva and got off to a terrific start by taking the opening set, but Putinseva fought back to force a deciding set. The British No.2 treated a sold-out crowd to a display of sensational shotmaking, which in turn rewarded her with thee match points, but the Kazakh showed great grit to prevail 3-6, 6-2, 7-6(6) after a tense tie-break.

Sunday's action will start at 12:00 and will see the singles rubbers reversed followed by a final doubles rubber. Konta will face Putinseva first, followed by Boulter and Diyas before Heather Watson and Harriet Dart take on Anna Danilina and Galina Voskoboeva. If the Brits secure two more victories, they will return to the World Group for the first time since 1993.
