Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares in action at the 2017 Nitto ATP Finals

Britain’s Jamie Murray and his partner Bruno Soares gave themselves a shot at reaching the ATP Finals last-four with victory over Ivan Dodig and Marcel Granollers.

The Brit and his Brazilian team-mate recorded their first win of the group stage with the 6-1, 6-1 success on Wednesday, keeping their semi-final chances alive after their opening defeat.

Jamie and Bruno needed just 53 minutes to sweep to victory without facing a break point. They next face Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo, who defeated Bob and Mike Bryan to take the first semi-final berth.

The Bryan brothers conquered Jamie and Bruno on Monday in a thrilling match tiebreaker, but victory for the latter pair over Kubot and Melo on Friday will be enough to see them through to the knock-out phase.
