The Ilkley Trophy will welcome a strong field to the Yorkshire grass courts, in what is always one of the more picturesque tournaments on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF World Tennis Tour.
Played at the 136-year-old Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club, it provides perfect preparation for players who will be in the main draw at Wimbledon, with some top-tier performers confirmed on the entry list this year.
The action, adjacent to the Ilkley Moor, will kick off from Monday 17 through to Sunday 23 June.
In the men's draw
Britain's Paul Jubb, who hails from Hull, has been awarded a wild card into the ATP Challenger draw and he’s certain to attract a healthy share of attention from the Yorkshire crowds.
After capturing the headlines when he became the first British player to win the prestigious NCAA national men's singles title in Florida last month, he went on to win his first ATP Challenger match whilst competing at the Nature Valley Open in Nottingham this week.
Joining Jubb in the draw is Australian Jordan Thompson (world No.62), who is returning to Ilkley for the fourth time, with the experienced former world No.33 Denis Istomin also preparing to play on the Yorkshire grass courts.
France's Ugo Humbert is the highest-ranked player in the draw at No.64 in the current ATP standings, with Romania's Marius Copil another player to watch after his run to the final of the Swiss Indoor finals last year, where he lost to Roger Federer.
Women in the mix
Four top 100 players in the WTA rankings are confirmed on the entry list for the ITF World Tennis Tour W100 event, with 2017 Wimbledon semi-finalist and Ilkley champion Magdalena Rybarikova returning to play in Yorkshire once again.
Slovakia's world No.81 Rybarikova beat former world No.1 (and current world No.3) Karolina Pliskova during her run to the final four at The All England Club two years ago and she beat the same opponent on grass a year later, recording a straight-sets win at the Nature Valley Classic in Birmingham.
French clay court specialist and world No.82 Pauline Parmentier is another confirmed entrant, with Poland's Magda Linette (world no No.96) and America's Madison Brengle (No.98) also in the draw. Defending champion and world No.126 Tereza Smitkova - of the Czech Republic - is also back to defend her title.
Meanwhile, Maia Lumsden leads the British charge and has been offered a wild card into the tournament, hot on the heels of scoring her first WTA main draw win last week at the Nature Valley Open in Nottingham.
