Former World No.1 Lleyton Hewitt has teamed up with fellow Aussie Alex Bolt to take a wild card into the doubles event at the Fuzion 100 Surbiton Trophy. The grass court tournament will take place June 2 - 10 at Surbiton Racket & Fitness Club.

Hewitt's appearance will mark the 20th year anniversary of his first grass court match as a professional player; he fell in the first round in what has been his only appearance at Surbiton, but went on to enjoy an illustrious career. He was the youngest male ever to capture the No.1 spot in the ATP singles world rankings at just 20- years old and captured two Grand Slam titles, including Wimbledon in 2002.

He retired from the singles game in 2016, but still competes in doubles at world-class level. Hewitt has played in several tournaments this year partnering Australian compatriots including Jordan Thompson at the Brisbane International, Sam Groth at the Australian Open and Alex de Minaur in the Estoril Open.

Hewitt and Bolt have both previously competed at the ATP Challenger event, but their partnership in Surbiton marks their first at any ATP tournament.

Hewitt has also teamed up with Nick Kyrgios to take a doubles wild card into the doubles at the Fever-Tree Championships, 18 - 24 June.  He is a four-time champion at the iconic event, sealing the singles title in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2006.
