What is the role of a Team Tennis captain?
Team captains' are hugely important to the success of Team Tennis. The team captain enters the team, selects the players, organises transport, books the courts, checks player availability and submits results.
Supporting captains is crucial to the success of the competition. As such a number of relevant resources for Team Captains will be made available in this area as the season progresses.
The most important resource for all team captains in the competition is the Captains' Guide which can be viewed in electronic form below. Hard copies of the Captains Guide were sent to all entered clubs approx. 20 March 2019.
Promote your Team
We would love to see photos and videos from your team during the 2019 season. Here are some of the top ways to get involved to promote your team during the season:
- Team Selfies - We want to see the best Team Selfies! Gather your team and promote your best selfies on Social Media (Twitter, Instagram etc). Make sure you tag @LTACompetitions or @BritishTennis and use the hashtag #TeamTennis
- Best Point Video Highlights - Like above, send in your best point highlights you capture on camera. These could be from key moments in your fixtures such as during shootouts. You can send in your videos (no more than 30 seconds in length) by email to teamtennis@LTA.org.uk and/or tag @LTACompetitions on Social Media
- Photo Send In - Send in any other team photos you take during the season by email to teamtennis@LTA.org.uk and your team may be seen on British Tennis media during the season
