Why should I become a Cardio Tennis instructor?
Cardio Tennis will help you attract more adults in to your programme by offering an a fun alternative to the sport. Cardio Tennis does not require tennis skills, but is all about keeping your players' heart rates up, burning calories and having fun to up-tempo music on a tennis court.
Who can deliver Cardio Tennis?
If you would like to deliver Cardio Tennis, coaches and fitness instructors must attend a 1 day training workshop. School sports teachers must attend a 3 hour workshop.
In order to book on to the workshop, as a minimum you must have one of the following qualifications and accreditations:
- Tennis coaches: An LTA Accredited Level 2 Coaching Assistant or above.
- Fitness instructors: REPs Level 2 or above.
- PE teachers: A qualified and active secondary school teacher.

Cost and duration
The 1 day Cardio Tennis workshop for tennis coaches and REP’s Instructors is 6 hours and costs approximately £60. The workshop for secondary school sports teachers is 3 hours and is free to attend.
Credits and continued professional development points
- Accredited+ tennis coaches will receive 6 credits.
- REPs instructors will be awarded 4 CPD points.
