Defending champion Caroline Wozniacki and British No.1 Johanna Konta will headline a star-studded women’s field, while British No.2 Cameron Norrie and 2016 finalist Richard Gasquet will be among those contesting a strong men’s draw at next month’s Nature Valley International Eastbourne.
The WTA International draw will feature a trio of Grand Slam champions, six of the world’s top 10, and 13 of the top 20. 2018 Australian Open champion Wozniacki will be joined by 2017 US Open winner Sloane Stephens and 2017 French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko, along with new world No.4 Kiki Bertens following success in Madrid, world No.6 Elina Svitolina, world No.7 Karolina Pliskova, world No.9 Ashleigh Barty and 2018 finalist Aryna Sabalenka.
In the men’s 28-player ATP 250 draw, Cameron Norrie and Richard Gasquet join top seed Marco Cecchinato, who upset Novak Djokovic to reach the semi-finals of last year’s French Open, and fan favourites Fernando Verdasco and Gilles Simon.
The tournament will take place from 21 - 29 June 2019 at Devonshire Park - check out the full player entry list.
What happened last year?
2018 marked Caroline Wozniacki's tenth appearance at Devonshire Park and she certainly rose to the occasion. The former world No.1 recorded her 50th grass court victory with a three-set win over Eastbourne's own Johanna Konta, clinched her 25th victory at the tournament with a straight sets defeat over Ashleigh Barty and reclaimed the trophy she won once before in 2009.
Mischa Zverev also had a week to remember as he captured his maiden ATP World Tour title. The German was on fire throughout and defeated Nicolas Jarry, seventh seed Steve Johnson, third seed Denis Shapovalov, Mikhail Kukushkin and Lukas Lacko en route to triumph.
In doubles, Luke Bambridge and Jonny O’Mara claimed their first ATP World Tour title. The pair defeated Dom Inglot and Franko Skugor, top seeds Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah, and Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Robert Lindstedt to set up an all-British final against brothers Ken and Neal Skupski. They maintained their epic form and went on win 7-5, 6-4 to lift the trophy.
The women’s doubles final wrapped up the action at Devonshire Park after a week that welcomed more than 51,000 people through the gates. Fourth seeds Gabriela Dabrowski and Yifan Xu stormed to a 6-3 7-5 win against Irina-Cameila Begu and Mihaela Buzarnescu.
Who said what?

“Eastbourne holds a special place in my heart, and it’s nice to see so many loyal fans and families coming to the event year after year who make all the players feel so welcome.”
Ashleigh Barty
"I got a great welcome when I played at Eastbourne last year. The Nature Valley International is so fan-friendly, and it's a great feeling to play tennis in a relaxed, open atmosphere, in front of such enthusiastic crowds. I'm looking forward to finalising my Wimbledon preparations at Devonshire Park again this year."
