Getting to the Nature valley Open

The Nature Valley Open is based at the Nottingham Tennis Centre, just outside of Nottingham city centre with great public transport links and a public car park available adjacent to the venue. See below on further details on how to get to the venue.

Venue Address

Nottingham Tennis Centre, University Boulevard, Nottingham NG7 2QH

By Train

Nottingham Train Station is fully open, however, it is currently undergoing some refurbishment work. It is well-connected via the East Midlands Train Line Service, which operates a high speed train service to and from London St Pancras, taking around 1 hour 45 minutes. A regional service operates from Worksop, Mansfield, Lincoln and Derby, while the Liverpool to Norwich service calls at Manchester, Sheffield, Nottingham, Grantham and Peterborough.

The train station does offer step free access with staff on hand 24 Hours a Day to assist. For more information on accessibility and mobility access, please visit the East Midlands website.

From Nottingham Train Station, the easiest way to reach the tennis centre is to take the Toton Lane tram (see below for £2 event ticket info) which departs from on top of Karlsruhe Friendship bridge, which sits above Nottingham Train Station itself. See below for more information or visit the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) website.

By Tram

Nottingham Tennis Centre is served by Nottingham’s tram network (NET). Spectators travelling by tram should disembark at the University of Nottingham tram stop which is situated on University Boulevard (A6005). It is a 3 minute walk from the tram stop to the entrance of the tennis centre (approximately 300m) with all pavements providing dropped kerbs. Please note the route does cross a main road. Trams run approximately every 7 minutes across the city with direct links to Nottingham Train Station.

NETs £2 event ticket is available from all Tram Stop ticket machines under “Other tickets”. When asked by a Travel Officer, this must be shown in conjunction with your Nature Valley Open ticket. Failure to do so could result in a penalty fare. Should you have any issues at the ticket machine, a help point can be located on the side of the machine that will take you directly to the Customer Services.

The closest tram park and ride site is at Toton Lane with 1400 free parking spaces, there are a further 6 sites and 3500 spaces across the network easily accessible from junctions 24, 25, 26 and 27 of the M1.

Please buy your tram ticket from the ticket machines located at each stop before boarding the tram. For more information visit the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) website.

By Car

Those travelling by car will be able to park in the Public Car Park in Highfields Park immediately adjacent to the tournament site. The postcode for the car park is NG7 2PS. The car park is located on University Boulevard (A6005) and will cost £5 per day or £20 for the week. We advise spectators to book their parking in advance to avoid disappointment. To book and for more information, visit The Ticket Factory website for more information.

Vehicles entering the Public Car Park during Qualifying weekend (8 & 9 June) or after 4pm during the tournament may park free of charge.

Driving from the town centre along University Boulevard please follow the AA signs and take a left directly into the car park. Driving towards the town centre along University Boulevard turn right at the traffic lights into the car park.

Park & Ride facilities using the Tram are available from Toton Lane just off the A52 (for those driving from the South) and at Hucknall off Jct.27 of the M1 (for those driving from the North). For more information, visit the Nottingham Express Transit website.

A number of disabled car parking spaces are available at the front of the Public Car Park in Highfields Park with easy access to the main entrance to the tournaments.
