The fourth and final Grand Slam of the year is just around the corner as the world’s best head stateside to New York for the US Open.
Many British players have been preparing in North America for a number of weeks as Flushing Meadows gets ready to open the gates to its blue hard courts and atmospheric arenas.
Andy Murray won his first Grand Slam title on the 22,547 capacity Arthur Ashe Stadium, the largest tennis-specific arena in the world, in 2012.
Marin Cilic is the defending champion on the men’s side while Serena Williams will complete a historic ‘calendar’ year Grand Slam if she clinches her fourth straight US Open.
