Understanding Qualification vs Accreditation
Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being Accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe to practise standards, such as first aid and child protection training. An Accredited+ Coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally assessed training a coach has. Level 1 and 2 are coaching assistants with Level 5 being the highest available qualification. All coaches displayed on this tool are committed to delivering tennis to people of all ages and from all backgrounds including disability, faith, gender identity, race, sex and sexual orientation.
