Local Player Development Centres

Two girls high five on a tennis court

What's the purpose of this programme?

  • To attract athletic children into the game and nurture their tennis development
  • To transition children with talent into a regular training programme
  • To provide local, welcoming, inspiring and affordable training and competition

Who's it for?

Kids aged 7 to 10 who are developing a love for tennis, and aspire to compete at county and regional levels.

What will this programme be like?

  • There will be a number of Local Player Development Centres (LPDCs) across Great Britain – hopefully one won’t be too far from where you live
  • LPDCs will offer high quality, local daily training environments, which nurture the development of young people and players
  • Programmes are run by an LTA Accredited+ Head Coach with a Level 4 or 5 coaching qualification and a track record of developing young players
  • All LPDCs will create fun and exciting environments for young players.

How do players get involved?

LPDCs are now open, download the map to see the locations of these centres.

Please contact either the LPDC operator or a member of the LTA National Player Pathway Team for further information.
