What are the requirements to gain accreditation?
Coaches need to meet the following requirements before they can apply for accreditation:
Qualification
Coaches must have at least a tennis coaching or a coaching assistant qualification. The qualification must be one that involved at least 6 hours of learning and/or assessment. Examples of qualifications that meet this standard are:
- LTA's tennis assistant and UKCC Level 1 qualifications
- RPT's streetennis course
- PTR's tennis teaching essentials
If you hold an LTA qualification, this should already be recorded in our system. If you hold a qualification from another organisation, you will need to tell us about it. If you have any questions about LTA Coach Accreditation, including relevant qualifications, you can email coach.accreditation@lta.org.uk
First Aid Certification
Accredited coaches and coaching assistants are required to hold a valid first aid certificate. If your first aid certificate expires during your accreditation you must renew as soon as possible.
